Meet the Team

Dr. Killian Horner, D.D.S.

Dr. Horner is a 1985 graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, NE. After graduation he began his practice in Montgomery, AL at Eastdale Dental Group located on Atlanta Hwy, before moving his practice to the Taylor Road location in May 1995. In January 1998, Dr. Horner completed the Implant Preceptorship Program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX. In September 2019, Dr. Horner became a certified HYBRIDGE provider from the LaMar Dental Implant Training Center in Rochester, NY (specializes in Advanced Full Arch Implant Dentistry).

Dr. Horner enjoys providing comprehensive family, implant, full-mouth reconstruction, aesthetic, and sleep medicine therapy to all his patients in Montgomery and the surrounding areas. Dr. Horner is married with two children and five precious grandchildren. He is active in his church “Praise Team” band, playing guitar for contemporary worship services. After a long day at the office, you can find him at the gym completing his training program.

Dr. Jennifer D. Ahn, DMD, MS

Dr. Ahn is a 2013 graduate of Oregon Health & Science University, School of Dentistry, in Portland, OR. She was born in Seoul, South Korea but mostly grew up in Oregon. She is fluent in English and Korean, and values caring for the dental needs of her community. Dr. Ahn participated as a member of Advanced Dental Implant Studies (ADIS), a prestigious implant study club in Atlanta, GA from 2016-2017. In September 2019, Dr. Ahn became a certified HYBRIDGE provider from the LaMar Dental Implant Training Center in Rochester, NY (specializes in Advanced Full Arch Implant Dentistry). In October 2023, Dr. Ahn completed her masters in Advanced Surgical Extraction and Implantology from Unicamillus University in Rome, Italy. 

She is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). Dr. Ahn is passionate about building long-term relationships with her patients and providing quality dental care in a comfortable environment. Dr. Ahn is married with two young sons. In their free time, they love to do outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, or simply spending time on the beautiful Emerald Coast.

Paul

Hygienist/ Lab Tech

Paul grew up in Minnesota but calls Alabama home now.  While serving in the USAF he was trained as a dental assistant.  He joined the ETD staff from 1998 to 2005, returning in 2014.  Paul obtained his hygiene license from UAB ADHP.  In addition to providing hygiene care, Paul is also gifted at many of the in-house lab work at ETD.  In his off time, you might find him riding his motorcycle, cooking or reading.  Paul is married with 4 adult children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. When asked why he wanted to come back to ETD in 2014, his response was “The best coworkers and bosses you could ask for.”

Stephanie

Hygienist

Stephane originates from California but has called Alabama home for the past 20 years.  She joined the ETD staff in July 2013 as chairside dental assistant and has gone on to become a registered dental hygienist, graduating from UAB ADHP.  She loves attending Mardi Gras activities in Mobile, AL.  She is married with 2 adult sons.  Enjoys ‘forming lasting, meaningful relationships with co-workers and patients at East Taylor Dental.

April

Hygienist

April grew up in Montgomery, receiving her dental hygiene license in 2002 from UAB ADHP.  She joined the ETD staff in February 2017 and works as a part-time hygienist.   She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and watching her daughters play sports.  April is married with two daughters.  Her favorite part about working at East Taylor Dental is, “my patients and my wonderful coworkers…it is a fun work environment.”

Angelina

Hygienist

Angelina grew up in South Korea and immigrated to the USA in 2016.  She became a US citizen in 2022 and speaks fluent Korean and English.  Angelina started as a chairside dental assistant in April 2022.  She recently graduated from UAB ADHP receiving her dental hygiene license in August 2025.   In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her family as well as her cat.  She is a very talented pianist.  Angelina says East Taylor Dental is a great place to gain experience while working with friendly, professional, and talented people while always learning new techniques.  

Jennifer

Hygienist, VA Coordinator, Treatment Coordinator

Jennifer has lived in Alabama and Florida all her life.  She graduated from Wallace State Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in dental hygiene and certified as dental assistant.  She came to ETD in April 2023 with over 24 years’ experience in the dental field. With her warm and welcoming demeanor, Jennifer ensures that each visit to our practice is met with professionalism, understanding and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the well-being of those she serves while educating and empowering patients to take control of their own oral health.   Her primary roll at ETD is VA coordinator and treatment coordinator, while filling in for hygiene when needed.   When away from the office, Jennifer enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family, taking care of the animals on the farm, and volunteering in the community. 

Gracie

Chairside Dental Assistant

Gracie is a native to Montgomery.  She joined the ETD staff in September 2023 as a sterilization technician and quickly moved into chairside dental assisting.  Gracie says since she knew nothing about dentistry, she appreciated the extra time Dr. Horner spent to train her so she fully understood everything.  She enjoys working at ETD because “all the staff are amazing, friendly and welcoming.”  Away from the office, she loves spending time with family especially her nieces and nephews and doing anything outside…loves the sun!

Mikaela

Chairside Dental Assistant

Mikaela grew up in Wisconsin but has called Alabama home since 2019, joining the ETD staff in June 2024 after completing the Montgomery Dental Assistant Program. She loves movies, crafts and hanging out with family.  Mikaela and husband Adam have been married since 2022. They love caring for their 2 dogs and 2 cats.  She describes ETD as “an amazing work family.”

Kayla

Chairside Dental Assistant

Kayla hails all the way from Washington State and is a newcomer to Alabama.   She joined the ETD staff in Aprill 2025 as a chairside dental assistant.  Kayla loves cooking, baking, shopping and camping.  She is engaged to a wonderful fiancée, Taner, and loves spending time with their Berna doodle, Benny.  Kayla feels the best part about working at ETD is “helping my community have healthy/beautiful smiles.”

Jacey

Chairside Dental Assistant

Jacey has grown up in Alabama and recently completed the Montgomery Dental Assisting Program.  She joined the ETD staff in August 2025.  While starting as sterilization technician, she quickly progressed to chairside dental assistant and continues to improve her skill set every day.    While she currently doesn’t have any pets, she loves cats! Jacey enjoys working at ETD because “everyone is welcoming and it’s a good environment.  We do our best to make sure everyone leaves with a beautiful smile.”

Jordan

Account and Billing Manager

Jordan grew up in the Fairhope, AL area where she received an Associated of Health Science degree from Coastal Alabama Community College, then moved to Montgomery as a newlywed.  She started with ETD in August 2020 and continued her education at Huntington College, receiving a BS degree in Business Management and Health Management.  Jordan and husband have moved back to the Spanish Fort area in 2024, where they purchased their first home.  Jordan continues to work remotely from home as ETD accounts and billing manager.  She loves spending time with her husband and new baby boy.  Jordan’s favorite part about working at ETD is her coworkers. 

Melinda

Treatment Coordinator

Melinda grew up in a military family.  She came to Montgomery in November 2021 with 20+ years as chairside dental assistant.  Melinda’s favorite part about being Treatment Coordinator is “the opportunity to follow patients through the process of regaining confidence in their smile as well as being a part of the process of gaining the trust of a fearful patient. These things along with working with an amazing team, make working at ETD fulfilling and enjoyable experience.”  During her off time, Melinda enjoys spending time with her family as well as playing with her 3 dogs and bird watching.

Katie

Insurance Manager and Treatment Coordinator

While Katie grew up in Billingsley, AL, she came to Montgomery to achieve a BA in communication from Huntington College.  She joined the ETD staff in May 2022.  Katie started as the front desk receptionist but has been moved to insurance manager and treatment coordinator.  Katie enjoys working with people who are very skilled and always willing to learn new things as well as teaching them to staff.  Katie is married with one child and another baby due in August 2026.  Katie says, “working at ETD is like one big family helping others regain confidence in their smiles”.

Jenny

Receptionist

Jenny was born in Cuba but immigrated to Hialeah, FL at the age of 10.  She became a US citizen in 2006.  She speaks fluent Spanish and English.  Jenny joined the ETD staff in June 2024 as our front desk receptionist.  When away from the office, she enjoys reading, watching TV and spending time with her husband, 2 sons, daughter, one dog and one cat.   Jenny says the best part about working at ETD is the team helping each other and treating each other like family.  “I love seeing the care and love that is shown to the patients every day”.

Andrea

Office Manager

Andrea grew up on the border of Minnesota and South Dakota, graduating from UND with a BS degree in Physical Therapy.  She moved to Montgomery in July 1985 and worked in physical therapy field until she started with ETD in June of 1988 as part-time dental assistant, moving on to become office manager over the past 37+ years.  Her favorite past time is spending time with the family, especially the 5 grandkids.  Also enjoys playing cards, boating and traveling to places she hasn’t seen.  Her favorite part about working at ETD is “being a part of a practice that provides high quality care in a private setting with staff and many patients that become like family to us.  Love knowing that what we do here makes a significant difference in people’s lives.”
